After graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University with Physiotherapy degree in 2010, Kayleigh moved to Whistler. What had intended to be one season turned into a permanent move, like so many others that come to Whistler. Kayleigh spent her first few years ski instructing, gaining the CSIA level 3 and CASI level 1 certificates, and honing her soft tissue skills working as a massage therapist.
Since returning to physiotherapy, Kayleigh has been working at Local Motion for 5 years, gaining different skills and knowledge through a varied caseload. After experiencing a long term concussion, Kayleigh has taken an interest in helping guide patients through this difficult issue. Kayleigh is also certified in dry needling/IMS.
Being an active skier, snowboarder, mountain biker, climber, and hiker, Kayleigh has an in depth understanding of what is required from many sports and works hard to ensure people can get back to doing what they love as quickly as possible. Kayleigh provides a combination of manual therapy to help with pain and movement, with advice and exercises to encourage self treatment and continued progress at home.
When not at work, you can usually find Kayleigh on her skis, mountain bike or exploring the forest with her dog.
Kayleigh became the proud mother of a little boy in June 2020.
