Steve Hanks | Physiotherapist

Steve trained among some of the the worlds best at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He was selected as part of a graduate training program with Mitchell Physiotherapy in Australia’s Hunter Valley before deciding to chase his passion in snow sports in Niseko, Japan for two ski seasons at Niseko Physio. His passion for the mountains eventually brought him to the sea to sky corridor where he’s worked and lived for the last two years. He currently works out of Local Motion Therapy in Pemberton.

Steve has a sound understanding of ski and snowboarding injuries as well as advanced training in rehabilitation of the shoulder, thorax, lumbar spine and pelvis. He is specifically interested in acute knee injuries however also enjoys treating lower back, shoulder, and ankle problems. He is a keen believer in finding the driver behind his clients’ pain and develops individualised hands on treatment and exercise programs to address the core problem.
When not in the clinic, Steve enjoys playing guitar, camping, hiking, tennis and snowboarding.
